TOWN OF NEENAH — An appellate court ruled this week that the Town of Neenah properly ordered Stephen A. Bates to raze his ramshackle house at 1745 Oakridge Place in August 2010.
Wednesday’s decision means Bates has 15 days to raze his house. If he fails to comply, the town can hire a contractor to raze the house and bill him for the work.

WAUPACA — Police are trying to determine if an Oklahoma man who was recently tied by DNA evidence to a sexual assault in Iola in 1990 was involved in the unsolved 1992 double murder of a Weyauwega couple.
Waupaca County Sheriff Brad Hardel, at a noon press conference today, said Glendon C. Gouker has been charged with first-degree sexual assault arising from the Nov. 5, 1990, attack on a then-20-year-old woman.
